Krzysztof Riedl

Member of the Board of INPRIS.

Doctor of Law, attorney-at-law, partner at a Warsaw law firm, scholarship recipient of the Max-Planck Institute in Hamburg, the National Science Centre in Poland and the Oxford Law Faculty, Magister Juris (Oxford).

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (summa cum laude), and then, at the same Faculty, he defended with distinction a PhD dissertation from the field of the civil law. He also obtained a Magister Juris degree at the University of Oxford (Brasenose College, 2023). Moreover, in academic year 2014/2015 he studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (LMU) under the Erasmus+ programme. He was also affiliated to the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics at UW, where he took some of the subjects in the mathematics major in parallel to his law studies. He is currently focusing on law but does not rule out a return to mathematics.

Author of numerous publications on civil and constitutional law. He has been on research trips to universities in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Oxford.

In 2017 he was awarded in the Rising Stars - Lawyers competition (youngest winner).

In his professional work, hhe specialises in civil law, litigation and arbitration, personal data protection law and law of new technologies (including legal aspects of the use of artificial intelligence).

At INPRIS, his work includes the analysis of legislation regulating the system of judicial power, the description of algorithms of the  legislative process and collaboration in the creation of a  map of the legislative process. Since 2015, he has also worked on the OMX project. Since 2018, he has been the coordinator of the Incubator INPRIS programme.

Interests: constitutional law, contract law, legal aspects of the use of artificial intelligence, personal data protection, history of Polish constitutionalism and parliamentarism, theoretical mathematics.
