TRust, Independence, Impartiality and Accountability of judges and arbitrators under the EU Charter – TRIIAL

INPRIS together with 12 other partners from different european countries received a grant from the European Union’s Justice Programme (2014-2020). The grant was awarded for the action entitled „TRust, Independence, Impartiality and Accountability of judges and arbitrators under the EU Charter – TRIIAL.

TRIIAL provides training activities and tools for judges, lawyers, arbitrators and other legal professionals in areas of salient importance for the application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights (CFR): trust, independence, impartiality, accountability of judges and arbitrators. Its main objective is to explain and disseminate knowledge of the CFR potential for ensuring and improving the fundamental rights standards, ultimately benefiting the rule of law in the Member States.

TRIIAL will carry out:

  • 7 fact finding & data analysis missions
  • preparation of casebook, in person and online training
  • updating the CJC database on CFR application
  • 2 transnational and 16 local trainings
  • promote interaction between various legal professions from various Member States and between the former and the CJEU
  • collection and development of training tools to be included in the e-Justice portal.

People benefiting from the project: 460 judges, lawyers, arbitrators, legal trainers; law students, academics.

INPRIS will organise 3 cross-border training sessions that is a total of 10 training workshops. Each of these national workshops will involve approximately 25-30 legal practitioners benefiting of the local training.
