EXPERT: Wayne Schmidt, Ph.D.

United States Foreign Service Officer with experience in Foreign Service trainings and professional interest in educational games

Wayne Schmidt is a Vice Consul at the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, Poland. He graduated with his Master of Education in Elementary School Administration (1988), his Education Specialist degree in School Superintendency (1993), and his Ph.D. in General School Administration (1993) from the University of Missouri, Columbia. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Schmidt, served as Director of Educational Field Experiences at the University of Idaho. In 2001, Dr. Schmidt was hired as Director of Research and Planning at the College of the Marshall Islands. He served as President of the College of the Marshall Islands from 2002-2005, prior to joining the Foreign Service in 2006.
