INPRIS Water Project. The Final

21-22 May, 2011. After three months of preparations and hundreds of emails that were exchanged, 12 negotiators gathered in an outhouse in Cieleta to participate in the final round of negotiations in INPRIS Water Negotiation Project. Negotiations were a simulation exercise, which focused on division of shared water resources between Israel, and Palestine.

Students arrived at the place of negotiations on Friday evening. They instantly took the role of negotiators and spent the night on rechecking their arguments and strategies. On Saturday morning negotiators started talks, which continued until evening. Participants divided talks into two sessions, separated by a lunch and briefings with experts who joined them in the event.

At the end of the day, negotiators signed a declaration which comprised a list of items which were agreed on, and those over which negotiators did not reach a conclusion.

Negotiators were supported by experts:
- dr Magdalena Gołębiowska-Śmiałek
- Nel Berezowska (PGS)
- Witold Rychłowski (PGS)

The particulars of the signed declaration, as well as brief interviews with negotiators will follow soon.
