Miłosz Palej

Miłosz graduated from Christ Church, University of Oxford, where he was an exhibitioner, with a first class degree in jurisprudence (law). He then completed his Legal Practice Course whilst also working in the derivatives team of a global asset manager. In the following year, Miłosz returned to Oxford to read for the Bachelor of Civil Law as an Anne Campbell Scholar, specialising in public international law (including international criminal law and law of armed conflict) and corporate finance law.

During his university years, Miłosz was the press officer of the Oxford University Polish Society and worked in Greece, providing legal advice to refugees in the Vial Camp on Chios.

Miłosz is a co-founder of university.pl, a pro bono platform providing help to Polish students in the application process for jobs and internships in law and finance in the City of London.

In his work, Miłosz advises across a broad spectrum of complex commercial disputes (including disputes before the English courts and under the rules of major international arbitral institutions). Miłosz also regularly represents pro bono clients, including before the High Court and the Court of Appeal

Laureate of the International Pro Bono Excellence Award by The Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice in New York for his work, as part of a team, in the preparation of an amicus curiae brief on behalf of Human Rights Watch before the Supreme Court of Chile in a successful case concerning the constitutional right to a clean environment.
