Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Studies of British and European Law (University of Cambridge) and Leadership Academy for Poland. Scholarship holder of the EUI in Florence in 2022.

Winner of the main prize of the "Citizen's Judge of the Year 2015" awarded by the CourtWatch Poland Foundation. Awarded by the daily Dziennik Zachodni with the distinction "Personality of the Year" (2017) in recognition of promoting knowledge about law in the Polish society.

Co-founder and initiator of the Justice Day 2016 (#DWS16) celebrations in almost 30 courts in Poland. He was a guest of the Academy of Fine Arts at the Woodstock Festival 2017. Regular expert in the media (TVN24, Radio Piekary, Radio Tok FM, Radio Nowy Świat, Onet), one of the co-authors of the best-selling book "Umówmy się na Polskę".

Since 2003, a district court judge, first in the District Court in Katowice, then in the Katowice-Zachód District Court in Katowice, from 1 May 2013 to 30 April 2017 – the President of the Court. He retired as a judge in June 2019.

Author of publications on the management of justice administration (KSSiP Publishing House, KRS Quarterly), columnist for "Rzeczy o prawie" in "Rzeczpospolita". Contributor to “ResPublika Nowa” and “Visegrad Insight”.

Assistant at the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Lecturer on civil law at the SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences in Warsaw, co-creator of the author's conversion course for law students at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia: "The Court - where theory and practice meet".

In June 2018, he announced that he would run for mayor of Katowice in the local elections in October 2018. He received 12,461 votes (10.63%) and came third. His committee was 700 votes short of entering the city council. After the elections, he briefly returned to the bench as a judge.

EU expert in Ukraine 2019-2021 in the “PravoJustice” programme, USAID expert in Georgia 2022 in the “PRoLoG” programme. Lead expert in EU-funded TRIIAL and TRIIAL 2 programmes.
